USRMGR vs Active Directory

By waldekev ·
In NT4 USRMGR you could change parameters in multiple user accounts by selecting and going into Properties. You dont appear to be able to do that in AD ( i would like to set up Map Drive to a Home Directory ). The network is still in Mixed mode - would i be able to use USRMGR to do it - or is there a better way?

USRMGR vs Active Directory

You can make multiple log scripts for different users to map them to the drives you want them to have shortcuts to. You would put the profile path in the user properties in AD. This will allow you to choose who is mapped to what and you can make as many svripts as you want and track what users have mapped by looking at the scripts. Good luck to you.

Thanks - but not really what i require. At the moment no users have "home directory" filled in - i was hoping to not have to go thru several hundred doing the deed. I had thought about login scripts but it just means one more thing to administer.
