These are a dangerous weapon the armoury of those die-hards who would like to take us back to the good old days when computers were in 'Computer Laboratories' run by men in white coats.

Small wording error in article

In the first example regex, ^a..$, the article says that it will match "all text that begins with the lowercase "a", followed by two letters." It will actually match lowercase "a" followed by any two *characters* (except new line).
