Utilizing the Printer wizard as another user

By shawnj985 ·
How can I run the Printer Wizard as another user. Like I would prefer to run the printer wizard as the admin. while one of my users are logged on his windows 2000 SP4 PC.

I need to do this to add local printers.

dll function calls to the printer library

by adoss In reply to Utilizing the Printer wiz ...

I usually install a network printer from an administrator workstation to any other workstation with a dll call.
run from command prompt:
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /?
will show you all of the options.

rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /ga /n\\computer\The_printer /c\\computer_needing_printer_connection.

This command will install the network printer connection to the specified computer "/c" for all users. that is what the "/ga" switch does.
The "/n" switch specifies the printer connection.

I hope this helps if you need anymore help with this get back with me.
