    Valid file extensions

    Does anyone know where I might obtain a complete list of valid file types? Like .doc = Word, .vbs = Visual Basic script, etc. I realize this will be a huge list. Thx.

      for the ones you need… and yes there are thousands of them.

        I’ve got a zipped program that I downloaded which contains a great many file extensions, that I will e-mail to you now. It’s shareware but the author only wants $4 if you use it beyond 7 days.

      I doubt if there’s a “cpmplete” list anywhere, as new ones are being created all the time. There’s a pretty comprehensive one here in the Extensions Encyclopedia:
