I installed Windows 98se on a system. I put other programs on it. It doesn’t matter on the type of programs. Because, some are different than the last time I loaded windows on it. But, what it does is, everything is working fine until one time you reboot (warm or cold) and when it comes back online it’s just like you got done installing windows and it comes up with the welcome window. All your settings are gone. And all the programs you installed are gone. The icons and listings are in there, but, you can’t access the program. All the registry entrys are gone. I tried another hard drive, still does it. I checked the mainboard battery, It checks out good. All the hardware tests I pulled checked out OK. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
