VB 2005 Combo Box Proble

Using a combo box in my application, to allow user to select their name from the list.

If user uses the mouse to select their name, I use the SelectedIndexChanged event to move the cursor to the next field – a text box for Password. This works fine, the Password field gets the focus and the combo box name is not highltighted

However, if the user uses the autocomplete append feature of the combo box to select their name there is a problem.

The user types part of their name and when their name appears they use TAB to move to the Password Text box. The cursor moves to the Password text box, but the user’s name in the combo box remains highlighted/selected. This looks very unprofessional.

Any help would be appreciated.
