ACT 5.0 worked by bypassing the UAC dialogue, but I still have a problem. My VB6 application (tested over 5 years in XP Pro SP2, Server 2000 – 2003), opens with a Splash screen during which it reads data from an SQL EXPRESS 2005 elsewhere on an XP Pro server machine, and then hangs in the Form Unload event. This happens with or without the ACT 5.0
