    Verify Caller ID is grayed out

    when I create a user account in win 2000 server, I want to enable Verify Caller ID. However, this option is grayed out.

    How can I make “Verify Caller ID” available on the Dial IN tab of Users properties?

      You need to call your phone company and pay for the service.

      1. You need a caller ID enabled modem.
      2. You have to make sure that you have the software to read it.
      3. You have to make sure that you have the service from you phone company.
      4. You have to make sure that you PBX (if this modem is plugged intoa PBX) passes caller id data to analog devices, and that your modem extension is setup on the PBX to receive Caller ID data.

      More than likley your domain is running in mixed mode, change to native mode.

      Before you do this however make sure you know the implications.
