    Veritas backup

    I’m a newbie in backup solution.What is the difference between Veritas Netbackup Profesional and Veritas Backup Exec?Both of these software able to do backup?

      I do not know much about Netbackup but Backup exec is a very nice backup utility with a lot of useful tools.We use it with great success.However one downside i know of is it is a resource hog.All backups should be run at night when there is little or no traffic on the server to prevent it from locking up.We have used a few differant backup tools and so far Veritas does what it needs to and is relitivly maintenance free.

      VERITAS NetBackup? software is a backup and recovery solution for data residing on UNIX?, Windows NT, and NetWare platforms,VERITAS Backup Exec? can be use in different versions for windows
      or nowell netware.
