Very old printer

By jcbohn ·
I need to find out what driver will work with a Brother HR-40 Printer in Win95. This is an older wide carage printer. I can't find it listed on Brother's web site anywhere.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Make sure you have the correct driver selected.
The only compatible windows driver for the HR series is the "Generic text only" driver that is supplied with the windows operating system. Also, check that your dip switches are set as follows. DIPSW.1:all switches "on" except #8 DIPSW.2:all switches "on" except #8 DIPSW.3:all switches "on". If you need further assistance please call 1-800-276-7746

Hope this helps!

Hi JB,

I looked for a driver for the Brother HR-40 printer at
www.windrivers.com
and it do not have a driver for it.

You may have to contact Brother's tech support for a solution, and tell you what other driver is compatible with the HR-40
Good luck.
