Browsing the internet is very slow using proxy settings in IE. From the proxy server it self if I untick Use a proxy server in IE then brows the internet no problem. In one of the clients PC i installed WinSock Proxy client (WSP Client)and untickedthe Use proxy server in IE, i can serve the internet no problem but as soon as i tick the box to Use a Proxy server the browsing becomes very very slow. We use MS Proxy 2.0 on NT 4 SP6a.
I am not sure that it is related or not but we updated all our client PCs to W2K from NT4. All our servers are NT4 with no DNS server. WINS only. Any suggestions?
