I have an e machines t6420 with 2 gb of ram in which I have installed an nvidea geforce 7600 gtoc video card (pcie). at first there were no problems but after a few months I shut off the computer and when I turned it back on I was getting no visual signal from the pcie and the onboard (nvidia6100)card had kicked in. I have since then changed the video card about 3 times changed the mobo and obtained a new power supply. When I installed the new power supply I actually began to get a signal from the pcie card again but the function is erratic. Usually when i turn on the pc the pcie will not work and the onboard is on, when this happens the monitor sometimes will get a blue tint off and on. after a few hours use if i shut down the pc and turn it back on in 30 minutes or so the PCI might go on and work just fine but if I shut off usually the next time i turn it on the onboard will be on and the pci will be off again. Under advanced chipset in bios its set to pcie, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and nothing seems to work.
