video card problem

I own a antique dell demension 2400 pc. I recently purchased a pc game for fun and whenever I try to start the game I get a error saying that my video card does not support derict x 8.1 and can not run game. I have a similar game and it ran fine a few months ago. I tried updating everything with driver detective with no success. The game is medal of honor pacific assault. Do I need to buy a new video card or ???????. can anybody help me??

I don’t know what is the Video Card you have currently fitted?

You need a Video Card that supports Direct X 8.1 or above though some games may see a higher version of Direct X as unsuitable.

With questions like this we need to know what you currently have before we can help you. This also includes the rest of the computer as well. Or if it was as sold by Dell we need to know that as well.
