Video on cold boot, but not warm boot?

Hi,

I have a ASUS P5B-E motherboard with a MSI NX7600GT video card. If i cold boot the computer, video works fine. However, if I warm boot (ie restart) then theres no video. I already tried a different video card and it does the same thing. Defective motherboard or is there a setting or something I’m missing in the BIOS or power settings?

  This problem is common among some PCI express bus motherboards in which the bus doesn’t go through a bus reset, thus reinitializing data to the PCI device. I’m sure there is a setting in the BIOS of your motherboard to allow for bus reset upon reset. Also, shut off the APM/ACPI features in the BIOS and see if the problem goes away.
