I hate to sound dumb but, I would like some clarification on this subject. I’m currently setting up a PC as my HTPC. It’s a Dell with Win Vista, a 3.4GHz CPU, 4GB RAM, 1TB HD and ATI x300 Video Card with VGA/DVI output. Right now I have a 17″ LCD with VGA input. I’m looking at purchasing a 23″ or 24″ LCDs’with DVI inputs. My question is, If I connect a 23″ or 24″ LCD to the VGA port at say 1280 x 1024 and then connect it to the DVI port at the same resolution, will there be a significant difference in the picture or will it look the same? I hope the question is understandable. If not, I’ll try to expand on it.
