I have a webfarm. All servers are configured the same. One of the servers started throwing errors EVERY NIGHT between 12:04am and 12:09am. All errors were the server getting overloaded, like all traffic was directed to it. Still haven’t figured it out but I may all be tied in with this question. I ghosted another server from the farm and put it on the offending server and changed all appropriate settings. Same exact problem. But again, just this one server. So I rebuilt it from scratch. It’s still exhibiting same problem. Now my question is this: Since the rebuild from scratch all Vista boxes can not access this particular server file system remotely. (Just to clarify, If you type in the addy {\\severname\folder} in the My Computer address bar or IE address bar you get an access denied error. Now I just got a different message…Can’t find \\servername\folder. All the other servers in the farm work just fine. You can do this from Vista. You also can RDP into the offending server from Vista. We have GP policies and security policies imported from a central location, the same as all other servers. Any ideas? I have been trying to find any documentation on this but so far haven’t. Maybe I just haven’t tried the right phrase yet.
