Viewing Public Folders

By surrealx ·
I have just installed a second Exchange 2000 server, and none of the Public folders that are on the first server can be viewed by mailboxes on the new server. Any ideas on why this could be?

not sure on 2k but in 5.5 you can go into exchange admin, display name , configuration, servers, public info store then goto the properties of public info store and make the folders replicate from server to server. ber sure and customize the intervalthat you want it to happen.

I have set them to replicate between the servers, and the replication says it has worked, however, they still don't appear on the new serve.

Although you have your 2 servers in the same admin group or even on separate admin group,Public folders are not replicated to second server. You will have to manually create replicas of each folder you want housed on second server
NB Only users withpermissions will be able to view those folders with client app.By default public folders are'nt viewable from Exchange admin. From tools I think you need specify view public folders and create replicas.Hope it helps
