I am very frustrated right now .. actually whever i format my windows i get the sound problem .. Last time i did overcome it after many tries but this time i dont remember how i did before.actually my problem is that the driver Vinyl AC’97 is installed and when i go to the properties of my computer and into hardware to check .. it shows it perfectly ok but when i play any song or any audio it says
“Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there might be a problem with your sound or video device. Try installing an updated device driver.” I tried putting in many updates but nothing’s working and when i go to the sound and audio options from control panel , everything is greyed out there. I saw this question asked by someone before but not a proper answer has been given. I will be thankful if anyone could provide me a proper answer.
