Virtual directory properties using IIS4

By kenni39 ·
We have IIS4 installed on two of our servers and both are exhibiting the same problem. When attempting to access the properties of a virtual directory the MMC doesn't open the properties page, however, if you try and close the MMC it tells you to close all properties pages before exiting. The only way to get out of the MMC is to End Task. Has anyone else come across this problem.

My only suggestion is to install or reinstall the latest service pack.

cp

. If you trying from a remote computer the problem is normal access rights ( try to check the user rights on the server).

. If you have a mmc version is smaller than 1.1 try to install this version.

. Try to check your dll's versions on the server, service pack's, etc!

Can be just one, all or none!

Thanks but we've already tried this, we have used various MMC versions, and are using Version 1.0. We completely re-installed IIS, and all latest svc packs etc, it worked the first time, now it is doing the same again
