Virtual Hard Disk Currputed

by jimmy liew . Updated 18 years, 1 month ago

I’m using Virtual PC 2007. My virtual hard disk found corrupted this morning when I realized that the virtual pc takes longer time than before to boot up. It hung, and the screen show as blank.

I found my the CPU utilities of my physical growth to maximum, my mouse was hung, and later the Virtual PC Console shut down itself.

I tried several times, it still the same.

Several trouble-shooting I’ve done, listed below, but still no luck:
– Create another new virtual PC with system file install. I have no problem to boot up this new virtual pc.
– Trying to attach the old virtual harddisk as secondary harddisk to this new virtual pc. It booth before the login screen, and it hung. (same thing over again)
– Trying to change the bios setting by disable booting from 2nd harddisk, but it still the same.

I really appreciated if anyone can save my virtual harddisk.

Thanks.

Jimmy Liew
