OK, actually, this is the first time I've seen the post. Pretty cool, and it makes perfect sense. All virtual machines of the VPC/VMWare/VirtualBox/Zen variety use virtual hardware. Why not dedicated virtual hardware for a group of physical hardware machines?

I bet Michael Kassner would dig this.
