With the current computer technology and its software and hardware I was pondering on whether it would be possible for musicians from all over the world to be able to record a piece of music together, in time, whilst using web cameras for their cue and software like cubase vst. I posed this question to microsoft some time ago and they were very interested. With faster internet connections and computer microprocessors, how far is this away. It would be beneficial to disabled musicians and those unable to travel. As well as this, it would enable some of our greatest musicians distributed worldwide to record and jam together. What are the current problems which we face before this can become reality?
