Virtual Machines

Hi,
I would like to know how we can confirm the virtual guest operating system is a virtual server OR virtual Guest Operating System by log on to that server box.

can any one please tel me that what are the ways are there?

Note: After log on to that server box.

For Example: Take a Host Name as " ABCVW001"

hi

im not sure i understand what it is your looking for.
Are you trying to see if you logged in to the " guest OS " or the "host" server where the Virtual machines are running from?

Well, if it's VMWare

You can try connecting with the VCenter Infrastructure client to the IP address or host name of the server. If it is a VMware server, it should respond with at least an invalid username error, versus a different error if it is not a VMware server.

By default, VMware servers have port80 open, such that you can connect to the server via a web browser to install the client software.
