i have this problem:
im running one thing via inet on my pc.And when i run another thing at the same time,its ok or it give me chat:
“low virtual memory .. something will be closed”
today i run one stuff via inet and then at the same time another stuff again.And when i came back to first stuff from operating second stuff,first stuff was black screen and after a second try to run both things,i heard chat window.I think it was again chat about low virtual memory.
But now two things cant run at the same time on my pc.
But i need them both run at the same time and click between them,to work with them.
Both things are via inet.
Is it possible to change virtual memory settings?
And could it help me to run both things at the same time?
And will not crush it pc,if set properly?
Here is some info:
My pc is pentium 3, 1 Gb
256 Mb ram
4 Mb video card,accelerated
Win 2000 pro SP 4 roll up 1
And now about virtual memory set:
Paging file size for selected drive
Drive C:
Space aviable 6580 Mb
Initial size: 480 Mb (changeable)
Maximum size 960 Mb (changeable)
Total paging file size for all drivers (i have only C: drive (disk inside))
Minimum allowed 2 Mb
Recommended 381 Mb
Currently allocated 480 Mb
Registry size
Current registry size 16 Mb
Maximum regisry size (Mb) 64 (changeable)
What do u think i can change to try run without problems both stuff on my pc at the same time?
One specialist told me i cant change virtual memory settings,cos windows is making it optimal.
Another specialist told me i can change it without fear,but not sure what will affect it.
Can u help me?Please only if u are specialist and u are sure about it.
