Virtual Memory error after OS Upgrade

At interval i check for new upgrades on Windows Upgrade site; i found out that when i accept the upgrade it takes forever to complete applying it even when the installation indicator bar is full. When i eventually restart thr PC, i get Virtual Memory error.

I have deleted and recreated the virtual memory but still get the same prompt. Any clue what needs to be done?
