The Virtual PC program would be installed in your Mac–then you would have to install a Windows operating system in Virtual PC.You could try a copy/paste or a drop and drag from the Mac to Windows in Virtual PC.My suggestion would be to use a PC that has Windows already in it.Will the Windows computer run a CD made in a Mac?Even a memory stick has to be formatted.Maybe a file conversion program. You might even want to use two computers at your workstation.Copy the files to a CD or a memory stick in your Mac then run them in the computer that has Windows in it.A two computer network would also be nice.(if file sharing worked between the two operating systems–in Virtual PC or a network– then you might have half a chance) I see that once a software program is installed it’s there forever. You would use it a few times, but then it is always in your computer.(in computer heaven all file types work in all computers)
I use virtual pc 6 with a mac mini g4, it’s not too bad. It’s not
as fast a modern pc, but it does ok. When working with
documents and office apps, it runs perfect, and that’s what it
is good at. but if you are running a intel mac, I would
suggest you rather get parralels instead. It runs in real time
with no emulation. Same price, faster speed.
