I’m looking to use Virtual PC 2007 to create a few virtual PC/Servers. I want to be able to use them for learning purposes, networking, server setup etc… I want to be able to store and run the Virtual PC/Servers on an external hard drive. Ease of portability is very important to me so I prefer not having to use an external power source to power the external drive. Would there be a big difference between a 5400rpm external usb drive and a 7200rpm? I am looking at the Western Digital Passport Portable WDXMS2500TN 250GB 5400 RPM USB 2.0 External Hard Drive to run my VPC’s from and would appreciate any suggestions?
