Virtual private network

By msfiroudis ·
I'm currently trying to connect a win2000 through netzero(a free isp) to another win2000.I can connect but I'm unable to browse the network.I'm not sure what else to do to rectify this problem. It also seems like it's not registering an ip address on the receiving win2000...I hope this is enough info...any help would be appreciated.Thank's in advance........

have all shared files on both win2k been configured?has permissions been set for users on both?,( c drive is shared by default for administrators) i know it sound like answering a queston with a question but these must be configured correctly, also make sure that in your network places you have shared folders in view, example: c on win2k, win2k being other pc ID your trying to connect to also, make sure that both win2k workstations have dhcp enabled and propeties set to obtain an ip address automatically, i hope this is of help to you, i had the same problem myself and realised that there wasnt any shared folders in my network places for host win2k,let me know how you get on.
