Further repairs

In most cases I have had malwarebytes take care of several problems with these bugs but I found that sometimes it is necessary to go one step further to really get the job done. The assumption is that you are running a windows xp or higher operating system.

I regularly run CCleaner (freeware) to get rid of the residual garbage generally left from applications and web browsing which can be used as store houses for viruses to reinstall themselves. When I do have a virus incident I also run the Windows System File Protection scanner which is accessed by going to start --> Run and typing in "sfc /scannow" without the quotes, and slecting OK. This will require the operating system installation CD (Windows XP SP2 or higher) but will check your system for any Windows system modifications that may have been a result of the virus. Windows defender has also played an increasingly good role as of late in it's capabilities to detect and prevent malicious software. Hope this helps.
