I just attended a meeting this morning at a local vendor with “surf Control” as the software being presented. The talk after the meeting got to virus scan software. Everyone was stating it is good to use different software at the gateway vers.. servers & workstations. My set up presently is…. Win2k PDC running Mcafee 4.5, Terminal server (Mcafee 4.5) Exchange 2000 (no software) and XP workstations (McAfee 4.5.1). Should I have a gateway virus scan running some other software like symantec or CA?
I have voiced my concerns about Exchange having no virus scan software to management. I am running Sonicwall using NAT.
If I purcahsed gateway virus scan software…should I still have software installed on my Excahnge server?
Any comments would be appreciated….
