At present, hackers are writing viruses for the wireless technology.
The wireless technology used in cell phones operates at the 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, and 5.8 GHz. The frequency that wireless internet runs at is not quite there yet. Though I have heard of some intennas for wireless networks to operate at this frequency.
So, it is possible now for the virus to spread from cell phones to your internet connection.
This will only happen if you have a wireless internet connection and you don’t have encryption enabled on it. Otherwise, don’t worry. If you don’t have wireless, yes you could still get a virus, but you can’t transmit it to your PC.
Also, phone companies are developing antivirus software for your cell phones. This will most likely be a service that you can access from your phone to their server. But, as technology gets better, you will soon have antivirus software on your cell phone.
