    Virustotal detects avast setup as a virus

    I downloaded avast from official site and when i upload setup to virustotal, zillya engine detects it as: Trojan.Shelma.Win32.

      Best ask Avast and Virustotal but if the download is legit I can see any AntiVirus suite get flagged as it must hook deeply into the OS to scan files on open and more.

      Normal apps would never scan every single file in a computer. This would be taken as a malware/virus/trojan action for run of the mill apps.

      As it stands, I’m going with false positive if your download is legit.
