Visio 2000 compatibility with Visio Professional 5 appears to be limited. We are having trouble with data models created in Professional 5. We can open them in Visio 2000, but we have lost some functionality in properties modification.
Without recreating the data model, we cannot add attributes. Does anyone have any positive tips on the backwards compatibility of the two versions.
We have had more success with new installs of Visio 2k over upgrading to 2k from version 5.
