Vista Business Drive Mapping

by acgphx . Updated 17 years ago

I have a remote laptop running vista business. Its far enough away that seeing it in the near future is pretty unlikely.

I’ve setup the end user account to be able to VPN into the network in order to restore a mapping to their company folder for data retrieval.

The end user can connect to the VPN using her credentials reliably and without issue. The trouble I’m having is that the mapped drive does not become available even after the VPN connection is established. creating a new VPN session and re-mapping the drive do not fix the problem. It simply will not connect to the shared folder.

I’ve used systems on hand to login via wireless using the end users credentials. I had no trouble mapping the company folder.

It should be noted that on that site there are other laptops (1 other vista and 2 XP) that connect and map the drive as needed without trouble.

Has anyone seen this issue? If so how did you manage to get around it?
