Vista Business start OS problem

Ladies or Gentlemen,
After unstalling some programs i got the following problem:
When i power on the laptop (or restart it)it advances up to a certain point, seems start the OS and then goes to a black display.
One of our Tech Spec here found that the problems is that when it gets to the point where it must star "explorer" it does not do it; he teached me a bypass, hitting control+alt+del so it goes to the administrative tools then go to file (up left corner) and write explorer and have it start then it completes the OS load.
Is there somebody that could help me telling some way to fix this bug without having to format and re-install the Vista Business???
Several guys told me that it is the only way to fix this problems but i hope some fellow have solve this problem without having to...
I?ll appreciate your help!!!

No Desktop or Blank Desktop After Logging On to Windows;EN-US;Q256194

Press ctrl+alt+del and end explorer.exe and then go to file, start process, and start explorer.exe and then your desktop should show up

Click Start, Run and type regedt32 and press Enter.

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\winlogon\

You will have to set the Shell variable in the right hand pane by right clicking and select Modify. It should = Explorer.exe
