Vista Class-Compliant MIDI-to-USB cables Driver problems...

By jklipa ·

I just bought an UNO midi-to-usb cable from M-AUDIO. The plan is to record piano music in Finale NotePad2008 on my Vista PC. This cable works fine on an XP PC but the driver fails to load on my Vista PC. I have scoured the web for an answer and have come up empty-handed.

I have seen and tried a few hotfixes from Microsoft to no avail. M-AUDIO even supplied a driver but it would not work. They insist it should simply plug-n-play...!

Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated...

Driver problem..

Go into "device manager" and right click on the exclamation mark and select "update driver" put in the disk that came with your device and select "browse" when asked for where, point to your disk location of your disk drive, if that does not work just right click on it and select "delete" then restart your computer, when rebooted it should re-load the drivers for your device and hopefully work for you.

Please post back if you have anymore problems or questions.
