Vista " denied access" to local settings folder

By laurence.bourke ·
One of my users PC took a dump using god dam vista, so I'm trying to recover user's emails using users hard drive as disk 2
In safe mode, logged in as administrator but still unable to access folder boot/user/username/local settings (this folder like a few others is shaded and am unable to access)
changed ownership permissions but still no success.
been on a few forums reading their solutions but they just seem not to work.
Can any one ease my suffering???

Setup Vista drive as Slave started in normal mode with an XP PC and I have access to.

F:\Users\Rob\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail

If you can't access these folders Vista must be in a bad way.

Have you tried Cookies suggestions?

You didn't say what the problem is with Vista.
