Firstly,I’ve recently purchased Vista business edition, having used XP since 2001.Over that time I must have lost count of the number of critical updates, patches, tweakes, and add-ons that I’ve applied. It served it’s purpose for me,and still does, both at home, and in the work environment.
Vista business is a whole new ball game. The desktop looks better, brighter, and for me runs smoother. With an Aero sheem,it’s greater than simply apploying WindowBlinds to XP,ever could.I like the side-bar,and keep changing the gadgets almost daily.Silly me.Windows Defender is fine, and works without a hitch.Windows Firewall has had it’s default settings tweaked by me,to stop it allowing all out going connections.Internet Explorer 7.0,with protected mode on,has given me no headaches. Please dont bang on about Firefox,as I’ve used Mozilla products for years.
My only gripe is the lack of driver support. Are,you knew I’d get around to that.Well,it aint MS’s fault.I blame all “the” companies who have not got their acts together long before now. With Vista years late,is’nt it about time that $ inc,or ? corps could at least post on their websites, drivers that work, even though the MS diagnostic tool says that they are compatable with Vista?
