Hi, my vist hard drive has recently crashed and i have taken it to a couple of data recovery specialists, all for them to tell me that is going to cost me as much as a new computer for them to recover the files off it. When plugging the hard drive into another computer to view the content, the properties says by size that all the data is there, but when opening to view, it only has the most basic, like music files and program files, but none of any other files like word or excel or most of my pdf’s.
So, from what I can understand is that, everything is there, but some security feature is stopping it from being copied.
Would anyone have any ideas?? I am at a loss, and really really need to recover all my files. any ideas or tips will be very much appreciated.
