Vista home premium SP1 login

By Peter-Peter ·
No problem loging in with my admin acct but when i try login as guest i get the following: "The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded". I went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList and find my admin acct but no guest acct. Can I copy/esport/create a key for the guest account from an XP box?
Using UserAccounts to do it does not work.

Open your Admin Account

by OH Smeg Moderator In reply to Vista home premium SP1 lo ...

Then open the Control Panel then User Accounts and create a Guest Account there.

Next time you start the computer you will be given the option as to which user account you want to use.

That's where I started

After I create a new user account by that method and reboot is when I get the message - The User Profile Service...yadda, yadda, yadda --- and it logs off. I can then login with my admin account
