hi,
i have a vista compaq laptop. it starts up, i log in, and then i get my coursor and a blank screen, just black. I then have to hit ctrl alt del and end explorer.exe and then go to file, start process, and start explorer.exe and then i get my desktop to show up. any ideas on why this is happening? I also cannot get into services.msc when i try to, then i cannot get my start menu to work, or click on anything, so i hard to do ctrl alt del again and shut down and restart.
I just wiped the drive and reformatted with windows vista home premium about 3 months ago when i was having the same issue. i scanned for viruses and malware, ran ccleaner, spy bot, the whole nine yards and eveything comes up clean.
any ideas?
