does window vista has problem reading hard drive capacity?. My 120 GB hard drive shows only 37 gb

BIOS Or Format Limits

If you have a fairly old system, the BIOS may not recognize large hard drive.

Also, I presume that Vista kept XP's size limit for formatting FAT32 volumes. Which could also explain a 37GB drive.

If you were using this drive on an XP system, it is possible that you used the drive manufactures BIOS overlay utility to allow the full capacity of the drive and it may not be compatible with Vista.

Let us know more specifics about both the hard drive and the computer it is installed in.
