Hi. Have a fried motherboard in one laptop, so took the hard drive out and I’m trying to use a hard drive enclosure to copy the files over to the new laptop. Problem: every time I try to copy something, Vista says I don’t have rights or permissions. I’ve tried sharing files and changing owners… nothing seems to work. I had XP on old laptop, Vista on new. Not real happy with problem Vista is creating.
What is the solution to this? I have found through searching the internet that people have fixed this problem, but I didn’t see the whole solution.
