I have a 6-computer home network. The newest is a Vista (Home Premium) computer, but it cannot attach to either of the printers on my network (workgroup/not domain). One is attached to an XP system (Epson850) and one to a W/2K system (HP5650). All other systems easily attach and use either printer. The Vista system locates the printers, but occasionally times out trying to attach, other times it hangs for hours without completing the attach. I’ve tried for many days to get a good negotiation, but no success. All systems are set for full sharing on each other (used for home business) so files can be dropped wherever needed. All systems have static IP’s and gateway’d to the Internet through a DLink router and broadband modem. The Vista system simply doesn’t cooperate with the other systems (XP, 2000, NT, 98SE, Linux).
