Vista Questions

Good Afternoon,

Good People. I have recently got a great job and One of the projects given to me was research on Upgrading to Vista. We have alot of different biz apps some emulation/as400 alot of DB.

Has anyone been testing Vista. Any tips suggestions or books you would recommend?

The <a href="http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/window-on-windows/">Microsoft Windows blog</a> is also full of information on Windows OSs of all stripes, including Vista.

Download the Application Compatibility Toolkit version 5

Probably the first task in preparing for a Vista upgrade project is getting a handle on hardware and software inventory and compatibility on Windows Vista. Microsoft has released a second version of the Vista Hardware Assessment utility and version 5 of the Application Compatibility Toolkit. Depending upon what tools you have in place for asset and application inventory, you might want to consider both of these since they are specific to Windows Vista.
