Vista shutdown default option

By Bucknut48 ·
My laptop has Vista home premium. I would like to change the default shutdown option from "sleep" to "Shutdown". How do I go about doing this?

The power button, then you need to access the 'Power Saving' options screen.

It is situated at the bottom of your Screensaver options screen. Enter the 'Power Management' screen and you'll have options for each action:

Closing the lid
Pressing the power button
Pressing the sleep button

You can choose from the right hand box what you want to happen for each of the above events.

* I'm sounding slightly vague because I've never used Vista. :)
