I have a laptop running Vista Ultimate and Vista had stopped recognising the DVD drive.
Sooo I took the bull by the horns and did a reinstall of Vista.
When I try to get Windows to update through Automatic updates, I receive an error code 8024D00A and there is no help for this on the microsoft site.
The only message that I can find about this issue suggests that this error code is generated by the version of Vista that Microsoft distributed at their New Day launches all over the country as a ‘thank you ‘ for attending.
Is this really the case, has Microsoft disabled this version or does anyone know how to overcome this update error?
