I have a client that has a workgroup setup with a Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Ed., about 5 XP workstations, and 4 Vista Home Premium notebooks. The Vista notebooks connect via a Netgear Rangemax MIMO G router. The firmware is up to date. Each notebook has the latest MS Updates. The notebooks connection to the internet is fine. But their connection to the server and other workstations is ridiculously slow. I’m talking hours to transfer a few pictures from the server to the Vista notebook.
Any ideas on how to speed the file transfer speed?
