Vista with Unmovable Partitions?

by luc_andre . Updated 18 years, 8 months ago

Hello All,

I have a Vista Home Premium laptop with two partitions on it. C:\ is taking 102GB and D:\ is taking 6GB (restore partition).

I’m able to rid of the 6GB partition with Vista’s new partitioning ability under Disk Management, but I can’t resize the 102GB partition. I’ve read elsewhere that this shouldn’t be a problem, but when I check how much space I can use it sais none.

I also tried some 3rd party applications and they gave the same results.

It’s like Vista locked the partition from being resized somehow.

Any thoughts as to why the partition would be locked and how to unlock it?
