I own a compaq laptop loaded with Vista
I would like to use an external hard disk loaded with XP pro that would be hooked on USB.
I would like it to be totally independant from Vista. I did change the boot order to boot first from USB,hoping that if my Ext HD was hooked,it would boot first.When there is nothing in the USB,Vista starts ok.
BUT,I did not try to hook up the USB HD because,asking people their opinion, they all advised not to do so,telling me I was going to be in all sorts of problems.
Could somebody on the forum be kind enough to guide me on that project
